This is an important property in Nashville that was purchased by a well known singer, for her parents.

Living Room

In this space we rearranged art and accessories, re-positioned some furniture and the room was ready to go. The client already had very elegant furnishings, so it may the process very simple.

This room we took out an over-sized love seat and replaced it with an open bench. Removing any cluttering and de-personalizing the space makes the room ready for any guest.

W changed out some chairs, changed out lampshades and updated some of the accessories. As you see in the next picture, it was a light filled and welcoming space.

Sometimes you can uncover many things, during renovation. In this case, a rotting sub floor. The shower had extensive damage underneath, but was caught just in time. A few more months and it would have began damaging the living room below.

Dramatic walls and baroque pieces, helped to add to the ambiance of this well know music producer + writer + publisher and his philanthropist wife.

We utilized black laquered paint for all the trim in this now formal living room. It formally was a music room. Coupled with the owners elegant art and natural hand papered walls, it was a space ready to entertain in.

A Little Help

If you look hard enough you can find ADA handles that look really nice. Our customer needed some extra help in the bathroom, so we had her sit down in the tub before we installed the handles, to see exactly where she would need them. What doesnt show is that there is an additional set of studs installed to the right, just as you step into the tub. This is in place for hen she needs another handle to help her get out. She wasn't ready for it yet, but we wanted to be prepared for the future.

We wanted to make it as easy as possible for our client. We based the positioning of everything around her physical needs.

Taking it down to the bear studs is sometimes better. In this case, we found nicked wires, incorrectly fitted studs and other issues. All which we were able to correct and prevent any further issues.

An LED strip can help brighten things up. Its on a wall switch or can be added as a plunger switch, upon opening the cabinet.

So instead of putting a medicine cabinet in front, we put it behind! Now our client has a 36" tall one and she can see the back of her hair to fix it better.

We went ahead and changed out the door to match the down stairs doors. It also provided an inexpensive update.

A simple stencil kit and some fun prints added to the spa feeling she wanted, on a budget.

We raised the shower curtain up, but instead of ordering an expensive longer one we used an elegant window curtain and a long liner.

Technology

All automated. The extractor is on a sensor timer. The bathroom light automatically turns on and off.

Fixtures

We dont buy our fixtures form Big Box stores, we order them from the mfg. We get the good stuff!

Studless

One of those poorly installed studs we replaced with one that fit.

Full Kitchen Remodel

We took this kitchen down to the studs and reconfigured the space with wider doorways, higher ceiling and updated electrical and plumbing. Custom cabinetry was made for the space

New Kitchen

Custom cabinetry was installed to the specific size and height requirements that we needed.

From sealer to install

We completely gutted this bathroom and expanded it by taking some of the hallway for the new toilet area. A custom vanity was also built to accommodate the size requirements and angles.

Main Bathroom

We completely gutted this bathroom to the studs, installed new fittings, a jacuzzi tub, custom vanity, marble walls and new glass shower enclosure.

Dining Room Floors

We were using a few different flooring surfaces in this house so I incorporated the stone around the outside frame of the room to it blended more seamlessly into the next area.

New Staricase

We remodeled the staircase and added storage underneath. Then we added stone to all of the risers and created a more welcoming curved entry.

Upstairs Landing

Travertine was used throughout the upstairs hallways and bathrooms. We tied it in with additional wood flooring in the bedrooms. We finished it off with a contemporary custom railing.

We added some interest to the top of the stairs with four niches and marble cubic from floor to ceiling. We also added pull down stairs and floored the attic area for future storage.

The front was updated and refreshed with a more contemporary trim, new door and custom shitters for the windows.

We pretty had the entire back yard scraped out and replaced all of the fencing. Drainage was installed under the patio base and we added in landscaping to complete the look.

Dilworth Home Staging

Our client, who is a well known commercial designer, asked us for help is staging her personal space, for a magazine shoot. We incorporated throws and pillows from our Aviva Stanoff collection and even silver from our own personal collection. The silver tray is from the original wedding silver of our principal designers mothers collection (circa 1964).

We utilized products from Magnolia Emporium, including art from Joyce Wynes.

We added a dramatic touch to the dining table by layering a moss runner and natural fur pelt. We utilized the owners existing art and hung them on the wall.

Built in 1940 this building had seen better days. All the previous openings had been bricked up. The sidewalk needed replacing as well.

The former dry cleaners sign was coming down to make way for the new Coffee Shop Sign.

The new floor sealer is down and ready for furniture.

We had to put a few coats on to make sure that yellow popped out!

We found a great collection of gently used tables and chairs to stock the seating area of the coffee shop.

Keeping Things Exposed

We decided to leave some of the concrete block exposed and build a ledge for phones, art and coffee cups to sit.

Prep Work

I added blue painters tape to the ceiling before they sprayed it. Then we came back and added two additional colors from about 50 spray cans.

Mid Century Modern

These really fun globes were a real treasure find for the space.

Beginning to Build

The frame work is going up for the new storage and supply area.

Lighting It Up

Lights have gone in and now we are ready to start placing fixtures.

Added Touch

The owner insisted on having our logo up someplace in the space, so my muralist painted one in the colors of the shop.

The mural really turned out great, on the wall. We worked with the owner to figure out what he wanted and we ended up highlighting various buildings in town and adding some historic figures.
